How long is a CP12 certificate valid for?

A CP12 is valid for 12 months. Landlords must arrange a new Gas Safety inspection and certificate annually, or sooner if an appliance is replaced or repaired.

What happens if an appliance fails the inspection?

If an appliance is unsafe the engineer will record it as such on the CP12 and may advise it be taken out of use. We provide a written quote for remedial work and can often carry out repairs promptly once authorised.
