5 Easy Boiler Maintenance Tips

When it comes to maintaining boilers, it is often assumed that it is something very difficult to do. Here are 5 easy tips that you can do to help maintain your boiler...

Turn your heating on

Turning your heating on once a month during the summer, rather than leave it turned off, will help it run efficiently. This helps ensure that your boiler will not breakdown on you when you are ready to have it back on for the winter.

Boiler pressure

If your boiler pressure is too low, you will need to repressurise it. Not sure how to do this? Call our gas engineers by viewing our contact details down below.

Bleed your radiators

Any cold spots on a radiator can be easily fixed by bleeding them. Cold spots appear when there is air trapped in your heating system and bleeding them will help release it.

Flame colour

When carrying out maintenance checks, certainly look out for the colour of the flame in your boiler. You need make sure that your boiler is showing a strong blue colour, if it is another colour such as orange or yellow, you will need to call a qualified heating engineer to come and have a look at it.

Get your boiler serviced
